Things to remember before migrating to a new Blog Template

Just like I did a couple of days back, even you might be interested in changing your Blogs design very soon. Its very important to keep a couple of things in mind before you take this important step -

1. Remember to take a backup of your Old Template. The backup is nothing but an XML file.
   
2. Remember to take a separate backup of all customized code snippets that you might have installed in your Old Template. Also do take a note of the different sections in which each code was inserted.
   
3. Some of the common customizations which many people do are for Feedburner Statistics, Google Analytics, Embedded Google Adsense.
4. It would also be wise to take a screenshot of your Old Blogs layout so that you can position your page elements in the same order as the old one.
